Following a successful swearing-in before other Paramount Chiefs at the conference hall of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs, Pulima Chief, Kuoro Osman Dewia Nankpa III has officially joined his colleagues in the House as a member.
He was sworn-in on, June 25, 2020 by Tumu Kuoro who is also the President of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton VI and the Upper West High Court Judge, Kwasi Boakye in Wa.
During the swearing-in, Kuoro Osman Dewia Nanpka III was also appointed a member onto the Judiciary Committee of the House Chiefs to handle Chieftaincy disputed cases.
The Pulima Chief would serve in the House as the Paramount Chief of Gandawi Traditional Area.
Giving his keynote address, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton VI has advised the Pulima Kuoro together with his other cohort, Sing Naa, Naa Issahaku Mahama to live exemplary lives to portray the new personality they have assumed. He also told Kuoro Osman Dewia Nanpka III and Sing Naa that henceforth they would seize to do certain-things that they used to do when they were ordinary men.
“As Paramount Chiefs and members of the Upper West Region House of Chiefs, you must hold yourselves out with dignity. Ensure you do not bring your name and the Chieftaincy institution into disrepute. Your lives must be exemplary. Take note that the things you used to do as ordinary persons, you cannot do a number of them anymore as Chiefs. Let your lives portray the new personality you have assumed”, Tumu Kuoro has advised.
Present during the swearing-in were Paramount Chiefs from Gwollu, Funsi, Welembelle and Buwaa Traditional Areas. Other Gandawi sub-Chiefs included: Kandia Chief, Kuoro Bamula Basinjia Chiemina III; Silbelle Chief, Kuoro Navei Kazia III; Bouti Chief, Kuoro Niarabra Mahammudu among other Chiefs from Gandawi Traditional Area. The rest were the NPP Sissala West Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Salifu Naliwie Baluwie, the Chief Executive Officers of ASUDEV, Mr. Osman Kanton and SAVE-Ghana, Mr. Sule Dintie among others
