The Paramount Chief of Tumu Traditional Area who also doubles as the President of Upper West Regional House of Chiefs and a Member of the Council of State, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton VI is calling on President Akufo-Addo to redeem a promise he made to construct a Municipal Hospital in Sissala East Municipality.

The Chief while delivering a speech of address during a durbar of the Centenary celebration of the Enskinment of Kuoro Wokorei Kanton II and his successors at the forecourt of the Tumu Kuoro’s Palace on February 1, 2020, has asked the Upper West regional minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Sali to follow-up on the promise made by President Akufo-Addo last year while at the 2019 Paarigbielle festival where the Paramount Chief of the Tumu Traditional Area, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton VI, conferred on him the title: ‘Nandon-Tengeh’, meaning ‘A reliable friend’.

Aside that, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton VI has also said: the Tumu-Wa deplorable road left out of government’s critical roads; Tumu customs barrier needing upgrade and the dire need for a dam to serve the outgrown population all equally need serious attention and has therefore appealed to the Regional Minister to take them up on behalf of his people.
