Tumu: Reports over circulating suspected ballot boxes not found – Police

The Sissala East Police Command has cleared the air concerning reports going viral over some suspected ballots boxes in circulation in the Sissala East capital, Tumu.

The Police have said the suspected ballot boxes are not found following their search to the suspected scene upon a tip off from a resident in the Sissala East capital, Tumu.

According to the Police command, a stakeholder in the elections in Sissala East reported an alleged stuffing of a ballot box around the stadium residential area in Tumu.

Speaking to the RadfordFM Elections House Sunday Night hosted by Samuel Batuame 9:30pm, the Municipal Police Commander, DSP Kumpe Gbele said after the report his men went to the scene where no ballot boxes were found but the people bolted and left behind two Luojia motorbikes with registration numbers M 11 4 W8614 and M15 2500.

According to DSP Gbele he said investigations are still ongoing and has assured the public that the police are on the ground providing peace ahead of tommorow’s December 7 elections.
