The Sissala East MP-elect, Hon. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku has said he would keep faith with the promises he made to the people of Sissala East when he was campaigning for the postion.
The MP-elect during his campaigns and other platforms has promised to build an MP Constituency Office to receive concerns of the people; construction of 6 agricultural mechanization centers across the Constituency; holding annual meetings with every community in the Constituency among others.
“During the campaign I pledged that I was going to do certain things and I am going to keep faith with that. One thing I am going to put at the back of my mind continuously is that I was chose to go to Parliament by the people of Sissala East so I am not going to allow my parliamentary works or assignments from the government to take precedence over the people who elected me – at every point in time I will do my best to stay in touch with the constituents of Sissala East because hadn’t not been them I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to go to Accra(Parliament). So I will keep to my promise to visit every community in the Sissala East Constituency to inform them about the work I am doing and also take their concerns”, he said
Hon. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku in an interview with Radford FM News has also made his commitment to employ every available means including using the comparative advantages of the Constituency to make strong cases and lobby for roads infrastructure to tackle the deplorable nature of roads in the Sissala East Constituency.
Hon. Issahaku Amidu Chinnia was declared winner and MP-elect of the Sissala East 2020 Parliamentary polls on December 8, 2020 by the EC Sissala East Returning Officer Mr. Lulua Mohammed at the Sissala East Municipal Assembly Hall.
The MP-elect garnered 12,932 votes, beating his closerst contender, Mr. Mohammed Issah Bataglia who garnered 12,060 of the vaoid votes cast.
